PEACE - Countering Christian Nationalism
The Louisiana Interchurch Conference is committed to lifting up resources that help congregations and communities live faithfully and act justly. Our PEACE Pages are designed to be simple, practical tools that any church, pastor, or individual can use to engage in prayer, education, and action around pressing issues of our time.
PEACE stands for:
Pray - Grounding ourselves in prayer and scripture.
Educate - Learning the facts and stories that matter.
Advocate - Taking action for justice in our state and beyond.
Commit - Making concrete commitments as individuals and congregations.
Explore more - Connecting with partners and going deeper.
PEACE - Countering Christian Nationalism
Across the country, Christian Nationalism seeks to merge religious identity with political power, distorting the gospel and threatening the freedom of all faiths. As Christians, we affirm that our highest allegiance is to Christ, whose reign is not of this world, and that God calls us to seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.
On this resource you’ll find:
Prayer guides for unity and faithfulness.
Key insights and resources to educate your congregation.
Simple, clear advocacy steps anyone can take.
Ideas to help churches and individuals commit to ongoing witness.
Links to organizations and resources to explore more.
Use it in worship, post it in your church, share it on social media, or send it to a friend. Together, we can pray, educate, advocate, commit, and explore ways to resist Chistian Nationalism and bear witness to Christ’s reconciling love.
